Winners take all family read night

St. Peter’s students and families rounded out October by participating in the Winners Take All Family Read Night with the KidsPost (Washington Post) sports columnist Fred Bowen.

Roughly 130 third- through sixth-grade students and their parents read Bowen’s baseball book “Winners Take All” in advance of the evening and then came together to enjoy a hot dog dinner, roundtable discussion and remarks by the author.

The Family Read Night was a fun and innovative way to get students and parents thinking and talking about character, honesty, and doing the right thing.

The evening was a home run for everyone!
